Jasmine Perfume could be Health and Safety Issue

Perfume has existed for several centuries, but there is now a report out that synthetic perfume could be dangerous.  In fact, Ruth Styles reports that it could be a health and safety issue.  Perfume made with natural materials may not be healthier than any synthetic version.  According to the new rules of the International Fragrance Association, it is best to use organic products for fragrances that include jasmine as an ingredient over any synthetic version.  In a tiny number of cases, perfume can cause death due to allergic reaction.  Oakmoss and jasmine were seen as the top two perfumes to be an issue of safety and health.

Those with allergies do have to be careful.  This is why it is important for individuals to be tested for what allergies they may have.  Plants, like chemicals, can cause allergic reactions.  It is one of the reasons that health and safety is in place for working around chemicals.  The association is asking companies to follow the new laws and regulations in terms of what chemicals or plants can be used in perfume.  Perfume companies that do not comply could face charges since they could be putting employees and their clients at risk.  At the very least there needs to be a label on the perfumes that state exactly what is in the perfume and the allergic reaction risk one may face in using perfume.  A small allergic reaction may cause allergies to clog in the nasal region, but those with serious allergies can have trouble breathing.
