Health and Safety Officers Emphasize Importance of Regulations
Three health and safety officers are entering a race to prove the importance of health and safety regulations.
Health and safety officers in the UK are all fired up about an Arctic race. They are using the race to show how important health and safety is to the work place and people all over the world. They are going to face great adversity in the race just to make this point.
The team consists of three members who will participate in a race next month. The race will go across Siberia along the frozen waters. The three gentlemen will have to battle cold weather, dangerous treks, and 155 miles in sub-zero temperatures. It is called the Black Ice Challenge. The members of the team are Welsh and they state the trek is to help raise British spirit.
According to these gentlemen, the topic of safety and health has become a bureaucratic one and this needs to stop. They want everyone to understand that it is not just about red tape or talks that there are too many regulations. Health and safety regulations exist for the protection of all people. It is a necessary law. They are also hoping to debunk myths through endangering their lives to prove a point. The trio has been a part of several different events in the last four years in order to prove their point about the importance of safety and health.
