Health and Safety Fears Come to Fruition

Fears about the petrol issues have unfortunately escalated to the point that many have decided to stock up on petrol and store it inappropriately in their homes.  A few days ago, fears surfaced about the health and safety issues surrounding the storage of petrol.  Now there has been an incident wherein a woman has been injured due to the exact health and safety issues raised about petrol storage.  A woman has been disfigured after storing petrol in her kitchen.  The petrol exploded, leaving her injured severely and in the hospital for the burns.

This woman, a mother, suffered after she poured petrol into a container, but it ignited in her kitchen leaving her with severe burns over her body.  The accident has reminded the public that storing petrol even in the safest conditions can be a safety and health hazard.  The government is urging everyone to be careful and to stop storing petrol regardless of the worry of pricing going up as the supply stops coming in due to petrol delivery driver strikes.  The incident is hopefully a reminder to regulators as to why the drivers are on strike considering their strike is also about the safety and health of which they need to be wary.  Driving petrol for delivery is a health and safety issue as it could lead to severe accidents or death if not handled properly.
