Health and safety Approved Codes of Practice to change

The HSE is attempting to make safety and health laws understandable for businesses.  One thing they are changing is the Approved Codes of Practice.  It is possible for you to submit your thoughts on this change for how the proposal for revision should go.  There is also talk of withdrawing this code of practice.  Any business can take a survey to provide their input.  Whether you want to do this or not, it is important that you understand health and safety laws.  Many areas can seem quite confusing when it comes to the laws and how to best put them into practise with your company.  One professor has also looked at the laws in order to determine how best to update the 1974 safety act.

The idea is to make it easier for all businesses to be in compliance with the laws.  While the changes to the safety and health act of 1974 will be slow, you might want to take health and safety training courses or seek a consultant to determine how best to change your business safety rules.  You do not want to be put in a situation where an incident can happen.  Any time you are leaving yourself and employees open to danger, there is a possible fine and prosecution.  Rather than be forced to pay these fees, you can ensure your company is protected by studying the proper courses.

A course on manual handling training from Winter and Co. might be the best course to start with.  You also have risk assessment options where you can learn how to prevent incidents by offering proper risk assessments and protocols to employees.  By ensuring your employees are properly trained and protected, you can be assured your company will be around for a long time.
