Health and Safety at Work Courses Available Online

A new enterprise has been initiated for manual work sectors wanting to access health and safety at work courses over the internet. Sectors such as the construction industry can have a high risk of employee accident and injury, making it vital to have the correct health and safety training in place. As a way of tackling this, CITB-ConstructionSkills has announced a new syllabus, including environmental issues and respiratory hazards, which can be accessed and taken online.

Having improved the health, safety, and environment exam, the test offers updated company knowledge, allowing businesses to stay in line with the conditions set out within the Health and Safety Executive. CITB-ConstructionsSkill’s product delivery manager, Chris Little, revealed, “Consulting with industry we have refreshed the question bank and the test structure to include new sections and questions addressing the changing needs of the whole construction industry both locally and nationally.” He also said that, due to the tests being available online and accessible from any location, the entire industry would be able to access user friendly and flexible examinations.

Providing the correct health and safety training to employees is vital to ensure that the risks of accidents are kept at a minimum. This not only safeguards staff against personal injury, but also allows businesses to avoid costly accident at work claims. And, with the new online exams providing the ideal way for individuals to brush up on their skills and make sure they have the correct health and safety requirements in place, workplace risk can be reduced.
