Getting better training for health and safety

Rental companies offering equipment such as NES need to have proper safety procedures in place. Health and safety training on the equipment rented out to consumers is imperative.  Furthermore, any employee needs to be safe in the operations of the equipment.  There are safety standards that must also be met in terms of the equipment.  If there is something wrong with the forklift, scaffold, or other rented equipment, a company can damage not only their reputation, but also injure an employee from another company using the equipment.

According to a statement, having understood operational procedures that can be repeated help make a company’s work more efficient.  It also makes for a safe company.  There is a bid right now for better health and safety in terms of rental equipment, training on that equipment, and upkeep of the equipment.  There is a proposition of there being a two to four hour training class that should be standardised for workers to use before using any of the rental equipment from a company.  This training needs to be available to more than just one company.  It should be an across the board concept.

There are training courses that have been standardised for how to use certain equipment, but the rental company is asking for something that is geared more towards their hiring services and something that employees of a rental company can use.  This would include other employees using the equipment to avoid any health and safety breaches.
